BBC can do subscription through this…

BBC can do subscription through this they own UKTV funded through advertising they are daylight robbers cancelled tv license now harrass me I will sue you BBC

An absolute joke. Avoid!

I thought I'd give the free trial a go. There was very little that I wanted to watch. I cancelled within the end of the trail period and a month later I looked at my bank account and had been charged by Britbox, that day. Their reasoning was that I did not give 24 hours notice before the trial was up and they had tried to charge me at the time (19th March). So they tried, a month later (19th April). They would not refund me the balance as I had not objected to them, in March for the unannounced payment made a month in the future. Lamentably bound by the causality of time and space and my crystal ball in for its MOT I was unable to do this.The player is terrible and if you pause on PC or close on mobile, it'll just randomly start playing again (which woke me up on a number of occasions).I'm not sure of the business model. Half of it is BBC content, which I've already paid for with my licence fee.

Bt have just offered me 6 months…

Bt have just offered me 6 months britbox free ,but I don’t think I’ll bother after reading these reviews.

Good content but platform sucks

I am currently running Nowtv (HD dolby 5.1 upgrade), youtube, and other streaming services without any streaming, buffering or crashing issues, however, anything on Britbox crashes at least once during the shortest streams, sometimes coming up with "resume" button which sometimes works but sometimes results in having having no option but, after all else has failed, re-signing into my account to get service back. The content is good but I will not be continuing subscription unless this schoolboy technical nonsense is sorted out.

Could be so much better

As others have said the app is awful. Unfortunately Britbox are still allowing people to sign up whilst knowing they have serious issues. When you try to get help rather than being straight they make you feel that your equipment is somehow to blame despite same thing happening across various devices.. Could be good but a terrible app means I won’t be bothering again with this service.

Very happy with the amazing selection…

Very happy with the amazing selection of classic tv series. If you want British tv series this is the place for you, much better selection of British tv than Netflix. Loving Grange Hill.

Just cancelled my subscription

Just cancelled my subscription. The smart app doesn't work properly. So frustrating as there are so many good programmes I would like to see again.

Bafflingly bad

Really, really bad. Frequently crashes on YouView and Fire TV. Only shows first 12 shows on watchlist on Fire TV. Brilliant content but rubbish app. How can the makers of iPlayer and itv hub get it so wrong?

Subtitles atrocious and choices are few for viewing

To be honest it has a few issues but in general I like it but there are issues with the subtitles where they miss out all or parts of a conversation. As for viewing options when watching stuff on your list or continue watching there is no option to start from the beginning or to see other episodes so u can pick an episode before or after unless u go to Ur list and do it from there

Terrible... don’t bother wasting your money

Terrible... The videos never play we just get a ‘This video is error’ message whenever you try and we’ve tried different times etc so it isn’t our broadband that is the issue. The search function doesn’t work, type in Poirot and it doesn’t come up, in fact whatever you type in it only ever searches titles with the same first letter if you are lucky. The continue watching function doesn’t work either so you are forced to re search for the programme each time - very frustrating! Personally the content is the reason we signed up but its so awkward to use it’s not worth your time or money - shame.
